I don't "get it"

Today reminded me of something.

I don't really "get it". I will never, I cannot.

I don't write this blog because I am all wise, or all understanding, and know what its like.

I write because I know enough of what its like, to realize I will never know how it feels.

Its impossible.

I am interested to know what happened to remind you of this. People can say, walk a mile in someone elses shoes, but sometimes the best we can do is learn all about the shoes and examine every inch of that road that is walked, but we can never fully understand what that walk is actually like.

This is what makes Christ's sacrifice so special and so personal for each of us, is because he is the only one who can truly understand exactly what it is like. He is the only one who truly "gets it". That is why the gospel is such a great unifier of people from all sorts of backgrounds and walks of life.
