Thanks. I appreciate the favor. So, I was taught that Quetzalcoatl was supposedly form of Christ, and that when Cortez came, they thought he was Christ...... White and Bearded. Is this just one of those old mormon myths.
The story of the Aztec's thinking Cortez was Quetzalcoatl isn't myth.
Aztec history was mostly oral legend, with what is written, usually in stone, and subject to debatable translation. this includes who and what was Quetzalcoatl.
The stories of the Aztecs mistaking the Spaniards for legend fulfilled came from the writings of Catholic monks and friars who went along on the expeditions, writing hitories along the way.
