It could give you more facts.

Decided to lighten things up, huh?

Number 3 is Richard Simmons.

I'll work on the other 2.

Number 1 is Angela Davis.

While I love Tristan's moxie, I could use a little less cherry-picking - how come she gets to have Richard Simmons while the rest of us makes jerks of ourselves guessing on the other two? I'm going Diana Ross or Janis Ian on the first one - mostly because I love their music and my threshold for embarassment is really high so I don't mind guessing randomly while the rest of your viewers send the link to your blog to all their 'phone a friend' lifelines trying to get the correct answer. I mean you gotta love them all for trying so hard but I just don't have high enough standards to worry about public humiliation. I'm going with Kevin Bacon on number two - not because I think it resembles him or anyone within six degrees of separation from him but simply because I love him and I love to see his name in print.

How about a clue for number 2. I'm getting nowhere.

You make a good point that everyone is most likely phoning a friend, which I simply consider "using one's resources".
It may not be fair to let her get the easy one while others scratch their heads, so from now on I am going to hold on to everyone’s answers till someone gets all three. I will let you know if you are on track, just won’t post your guesses that ruin the fun for others.
Tristan now has two points (she has actually guessed two correctly), and Corbie has three points, one for moxie, another for raising a good point, and one more for Kevin Bacon. Though that is of course waaay off, as are your guess on number one.

Angela Davis
?
Richard Simmons

Perfect! That means I at least tie for the lead in the end. Now we're talkin! Plus, I should arguably get another point for guessing an obscure white singer and giving your readers the pleasure of knowing there is someone out there who is this big of an idiot. What say you?

brohammas said...

OK, Jake now has two as well.

Corbie said...

And I think that you and I have known each other long enough for you to do my the favor of going into my original posting somehow and change 'makes' to 'make' - I mean, really. While I don't mind public humiliation by way of airing my dirty laundry and/or ugly photos, I am partial to things being grammatically correct. Sorry about all the posts. If you will just change that little extra 's', no one even has to know about this one and the professionalism of your blog can stay in tact.

I'm going to have to file a complaint for unfair treatment. When I asked Steve about Mike Ditka I was penalized, not praised for using my resources!

I don't believe Claudia was penalized for asking Joshua about Che either.

Dude...what's up with that?

brohammas said...

Ummm...
A) it won't let me. If it is possible, I have not figured it out yet.

B) have you seen my spelling?

brohammas said...

You wre not penalized for asking (possible rewrite of history here), but were penalized for not knowing Ditka.
It's Freakin Mike Ditka!!!

And, of course, by 'do my the favor' I meant 'do me the favor'. I am clearly ingesting way to much caffeine these days because my typing skills are waaaay off (like my Kevin Bacon guess but with one more 'a' in 'way'). And I am not here to judge your spelling - I try to stick to self-abuse rather than the public humiliation of others. I now officially promise not to post anything more on your blog for ten straight days - I feel confident that you can recover your ratings and loyal viewers by then.

Corbie said...

Okay, I totally lied - I am posting AGAIN! I do love her like I love Red Vines but she deserved more than the penalty you gave her for not knowing Mike Ditka. You don't have to be the crazed football fan that I am to know Mike Ditka, Tristan. You just have to be semi-consicous. Feel free to get a restraining order so I can no longer post here - I clearly can't be trusted to stop on my own.

Number 2 strikes me as a cowboy. I don't know why. My best guesses are Paul Newman, Robert Redford or Clint Eastwood.

My guesses are Angela Daivs, Clint Eastwood, and of course Richard Simmons. I LOVE THIS GAME!!

brohammas said...

Allison now has two. Tristan is officially grasping at straws.

Corbie said...

My husband is guessing John Eales of the Wallabies. Either way, I should get the winning point for putting a rugby player's name in print on your blog.

brohammas said...

Nope. Obvious pandering gets no points but does get a hint. All the best ruggers would know who this is.

Anonymous said...

OK it will take me to give you guys number 1 .........Angela Davis

Corbie said...

Dude...that was not obvious pandering...in fact, it was not pandering at all. My husband has been playing rugby since you and I were still in the womb and thus, he only thinks in terms of rugby. I'm surprised he didn't think Richard Simmons was someone's scrum-half. Since the best players in the world are South African at this juncture (my husband was at this World Cup with his old high school rugby mate), I am guessing this guy is some kind of political figure related to apartheid. Perhaps Mandela's attorney, one of the men prosecuted with him, or one of the arses doing the prosecuting. Just a train of thought...I'm a rugby widow today or I would ask the rugger's opinion.

brohammas said...

Using the word scrum-half correctly in a sentence would normally win a bonus point (use of tighthead prop would have won the game), but suggesting that SA is the best at rugby and bringing up bad memories of the last world cup forces me to fight a knee jerk reaction to revoke all your points in one rash swoop.

I will do none of those things but will simply say, "he is not South African".

Oh yeah, Tiash now has one point as well.

brohammas said...

I should say, in defense of my readers that many of you have gotten number one correct...still not telling in case someone can actually get all three.

1) Your daughter in the future
2) Your older brother in that same future... he joins the Hair Club for Men
3) You on a bad hair day

um... I probably earned enough negative points with this one to at least double the sum of everyone's positives, essentially balancing out the whole game.

tristanjh said...

Is it Scott Johnson?

tristanjh said...

One more possibility...Andy Gomarsall?

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!

Amber you rock!

Turns out the best ruggers in the world do know this one - after a weekend of rugby wins, the hubby came home and recognized Sir Edmund Hillary.

brohammas said...

Well done, GO HAGGIS!!

The answers are:
Angela Davis, Black Panther Activist

Sir Edmund Hillary, who (along with Tenzig Norgay) was the first person to Summit Mt. Everest. Not only was he cool, but the picture was drawn from looking at a New Zealand five dollar bill. The best rugby players know what NZ dollars look like.

the last is of course Dave Letterman's best friend Richard Simmons.

Well Played.

Lemme guess!!!
1) Angela Davis
2) Sir Edmund Hillary (duh, people!)
3) Richard Simmons

Ha! I win!

Again my talent for surfacing right when it's too late is apparent.....
