Gordon B.

This was done from my seat, 4 rows from the stand. He kept looking right at me either thinking I was some great note taker, or he was more likely wishing I would stop doodeling and pay better attention.

What's the 671 at the bottom of the page?

That is cool that you got to hear him speak in person!

He kind of looks like he's glaring at you, though.

Also, your comment on Robyn's blog was funny. Is it really that bad?

I keep running page numbers through all my journals.

tristanjh,
he kind of was glaring, he looked older and quite honestly grumpier (not just at me)than you think. and yes it is.

He looks like a witness on the stand being questioned by a lawyer! Although, I would have to say he was definitely a witness of another kind - how awesome you were so close!
Never tell me that the prophet was grumpy...I was at the conf. center when he first came out with his cane and at the end waved it at everyone...no grump! Do you remember what the last story, after the prayer, was about? It would seem for him to get back up, it would have to be pretty important.

I don't remember the story, though i do remember it not being doctrinal but more of a personal story.
I said he looked grumpy. When speaking or interracting he was all fun, games, and spirit. When just sitting, he looked old.

Maybe he looked so grumpy because of the filthy launguage he heard going in!!!

AHHHH.
That was in South Carolina, the language issue is in Philly.
HUGE diff. Bad language, ESPECIALLY in a religious setting would never fly.

Very cool that you were able to sit that close to President Hinckley. (I know, I'm late to comment, but I'm late a lot so it's appropriate.)

I was outside the tabernacle door the night that President Benson took off his coat. He glowed & it filled the room. We miss you guys coming over & hanging out for conference & waffles.
