So you are one up on me there. Good for you for trying to make a point, more people should give it a go, including me.Amanda Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05585402236984731784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6853635643486173008.post-80940443535341896042008-04-05T11:26:00.000-04:002008-04-05T11:26:00.000-04:00I wasn't able to listen to the transcript and will...I wasn't able to listen to the transcript and will therefore blame my incoherency on their typing. However, after that you did make sense. Them radio folks are good at twisting words. He turns your word - understanding - into compromise.

But, that's what them radio folks are there for. To go off on their tirades. They don't have to listen. They have the power of the dead line.

It's lack of understanding - on both sides - that creates wars. Case: Middle East. People don't understand why we are occupying their land, so they go to extremes (terrorism) to get us out. We don't understand their reasons (we think religion only) for being terrorists, so we up occupation and bloodshed. Occupation can have good things and bad things. People can view it as right or wrong. Terrorism can have positive results (it was integral in South Africa fighting apartheid) and terrible results. I don't think anyone with a conscience would classify terrorism or war as GOOD - but many will point out positives connected with them.

I would probably go as far as to say that every conflict starts with lack of understanding. (We didn't understand why our new neighbors would refuse to move their cars off the property, and cut down our trees - until we learned that they truly believed that THEY were the owners. Doesn't make their actions right, but now I understand WHY they did it.)Amberlynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04662434972005811311noreply@blogger.com
